HIS AT WORK

Your team, their health, both mental and physical. Stronger together.

We are committed to working with organisations to create greater parity between mental and physical health and to reduce stigma, prejudice and discrimination.

STRONGER TOGETHER

His Charity is a successful mental health organization that focuses on supporting men. Based in Kent, we serve the entire UK and work with males of all ages, as well as families.

Our approach is tailored to suit both men and women, but we understand that males have different needs and preferences when it comes to discussing mental health issues.

Unfortunately, men face a lot of stigma and pressure, which may be why the male suicide rate is as high as 75% each year. However, we believe that men are willing to talk if they are given a safe and supportive environment to do so. We foster strong connections and trust with our clients, and we provide a platform that allows them to open up and seek the help they need.

Addressing mental health in the workplace

At HIS, we believe in forming connections and building trust naturally, without the pressure of timelines.

This belief is fundamental to us and is reflected in our HIS AT WORK wellbeing workshops. The feedback we receive from Biffa crews reinforces the effectiveness of our approach. We are not a company that solely aims for financial success in corporate wellbeing, nor do we wait for situations to escalate before reacting.

Our approach is proactive, and we strive to equip our clients with new tools and educate them to recognize the signs of their own wellbeing.

Who We Are

‘HIS’: Help Information Support was built to bridge a gap in the mental ill-health service and was founded after losing a dear friend who took his life in 2019. We work with men and young lads from key stage 3 to adulthood, struggling with their mental ill-health throughout London and Kent.

I wanted the charity not only to bridge the gap in the health service but to be on a level for every man and young person to relate to. If people can relate to a charity, they are more inclined to use it. Real people, for real people in every sense of the word.
